My name is Michael and I am a 7 year local with strong ties to the area: from Montana, raised over the Pass in Idaho Falls, grew up backpacking in the Tetons, Wind Rivers, the Sawtooths in Idaho; fly-fishing on the Madison, Henrys Fork, lots of camping and other excursions to many of the amazing spots around here… etc.
A short bio will follow, but first here are a few options I am looking for in housing:
1: A room-mate situation, no more than 3 people is ideal. I would prefer around or under $900... I'm not cheap or unemployed...but I do have other $$ responsibilities-- like we all do...-!
#2: Studio: i will pay up to $1300-depends on the studio...
#3: I can go in on a 2-3 (maybe 4?) bedroom house with you if you are looking and needing someone else to go in with
4# Any and all care-taking or house manager, maintenance (etc) positions. I have 22 months of experience in that area-lets talk!
What you get with me is :
..A referenced, stable, clean, non-smoking, non pet owning, rarely home, reliable, and respectful tenant.
Following is my bio: (or JUST contact me if you don't want to read so much- -! thanks-)
Growing up in the outdoors around these parts (lol) was something that almost naturally led to a BS in Natural Resources at Humboldt State University in Northern California, and from there I went on to work for the USFS as a firefighter etc...
I then moved to Colorado to be a ‘ski bum' (supposed to be only 1 year but it became 7 instead-lol) and while there in Crested Butte I started teaching photography workshops for the Crested Butte WildflowerFestival, which I have now done for 20 seasons, and worked on ranches, in construction, ski guide and instructor, musician, hospitality, massage, and much more.
From there it was Boudler CO, for 11 years where I gained a Professional Certificate in Multimedia..and did many things while I was there, even worked for 3 years at a Whole Foods and in the solar industry as well.
Then... I got involved in the world of film editing for a fly--fishing focused travel agency named Wild On The Fly, and this led to many adventures that led to national broadcast credits with The World Fishing Network and the Outdoor Channel, etc.
There's a good deal more to my photography background, which includes more recent prodcutions that started in 2016 and are ongoing... I just learned of a PBS/History Channel/Netflix airing in 2018 for a show that I was 2nd camera called "Saving Places"; its about the restoration of historic structures on a wide variety of public lands.
Currently I work as a professional naturalist and wildlife tour guide for Grizzly Country Wildlife Adventures leading 1-multi day trips into Yellowstone and the Tetons-this is why I would be gone a lot!
I am non -smoking, no pets, very clean, respectful, and great with boundaries. Really fun, conscientious, responsible, and a great communicator, and a whole lot more, come with references, integrity, and...a few good stories…
